Join Shannon McKee and Roger Blum for this week’s edition of “Our Take on Cruise”, filmed from the Pérez Art Museum Miami. If you have some extra time in #Miami while attending Seatrade Cruise Global, a visit to the museum would be worth your time.
The theme for #STCGlobal this year is “Evolution”. The #cruiseindustry and #Seatrade are ever-evolving. Excited to see the announcement of #RetailDay. This is in addition to an already robust conference track which also includes #TomorrowsTalentToday and #F&B@Sea.
It’s been two years since Seatrade has been to Miami, so things have evolved! Even at #PortMiami, it’s impossible to miss the almost complete MSC Cruises terminal, which will be the largest in North America!
As always, cruise leadership continues to evolve – Michael Ungerer, the CEO who led the very successful start-up of Explora Journeys has announced that he’s moving on with #PierfrancescoVago taking the reins…at least in the short-term. #CruisetheGreatLakes announced an #EPIC year with over 600 cruise calls which will double the economic impact.
Finally we discuss #Mysterycruises that have taken place on the former Windjammer Barefoot Cruises, Ltd. and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. Windstar Cruises also just announced that next year’s President’s Cruise, will be a mystery, where guests will be surprised by their itinerary. And something very new on Royal Caribbean International’s #UltimateWorldCruise, where guests voted on their itinerary.
For our fun fact – there’s also #MysteryIsland in the #SouthPacific that Captain Luigi Nappa (https://lnkd.in/eAgi8wkm) added to P&O Cruises Australia itineraries many years ago.
